I am currently a medic in Baldwin county and I am trying to get on with my local fire department. The chief said that it would go along ways if I had my CPAT. I am looking for somewhere other than the fire college in T-town. The reason being is that I am not in the best of shape and I would have to take it at the fire college on the 23rd of this month. I began running as soon as I heard about the opening but I am afraid that I will not be ready to go by then. Any help would be appreciated.
Gabriel

Go to the Alabama Fire College website, they usually have all the CPAT dates and locations for everywhere in the state listed there. I thought they gave one in bay manniette(sorry for spelling) because they teach several fire college classes there now. PM me if you have any more questions. I would be glad to help you any way I can.

About a month ago their was a article in the mobile press that said they were working on getting Columbia southern college in Foley to teach the classes. I don't know if they have started but i know they were trying to get them to do it you may call them and see what kind of progress they have made on the whole situation.

Training chief in Mobile said that they were gonna try to hire 20-30 around the first of next year. They should be giving cpat test in the near future. You may want to give Mobile Fire a call and try to get some information from them. A little advice. CARDIO, CARDIO, CARDIO Good Luck
