Since, we're still holding a large amount of water, and the flash flood watch that just popped up isn't helping my feelings any, I thought somebody out there might have some good looking planted ponds right now...
Most of ours look very similar to this...

Not mine but a friend in Decatur has a good crop going. They are going to put some fertilizer on this week.

His places drains good with all the gates open.

I got planted but only the big pond wich we pump all our water in. All my beaver ponds or back water holes are still full pull. I ran out of money buying tannerite and gave up removing beaver dams. I'd blow one then the second then third. I'd wait for it to dry enough to put my tractor on it and it flash flood and the dang critters build new ones. I was just happy to get the big one planted.

NOW NO ARMY WORMS!!!!!!

We had the same issues. All of our swamp farms are still full of water, our green timber hole has about 15 acres of water in it. Can't seem to get it dried down at all. Most everything else will dry down then get a big rain and right back to holding water. It's a good problem to have, but the water table is so high this year, it takes just a little and water's right back to standing. Thankfully everything we have is full of wild millet, so maybe we can just fertilize that good and be ok. Strange year that's for sure.
