I bought a pup from Mike in Feb 2010. I have worked hard this summer to train him the best I could. I am no expert but I am training my second hunting dog. Drake started hunting with me this year at 10 monthes old. He has made many marked and blind retrieves on ducks from the boat this year. He is also taking hand signals pretty well but still needs some polishing.

I just wanted to give Mike a hand for the fine puppies he sells. Drake is a very smart dog and I have had alot of fun training him this past year. I believe any level of trainer would be proud of one of his dogs.

I have been wanting to ask Mike one question. Do your dogs have a beaver in their bloodline? He will chew up anything within reach. He even chews on the brass water spigot in his kennel.

Mike Adams is the owner of Magnum Run Kennels. Sorry for the confusion.

Thank you so very much for the kind words. Like to hear the news of my pups. Keep me informed on his progresses through training.

Ha! Lots of beaver in a lab. Some seem to grow out of it around 5-6 and then just destroy the occasional limb or two, leaving most of the good stuff alone. I can still give mine an empty cardboard tube and its going to be shredded.
Smart dogs get bored easy and need something to do.

My Black Oak is the father. I will have to look at my papers tonight and see about the mom.
