Bama will easily beat the 5 point OleMiss #.

But does the AU offense have enough juice to beat LSU by 10 ????
If any of you read my preseason analysis, remember, AU's offense was 'new' last season, but now teams have had a whole year to study films and prepare for them.
LSU may not win, but will keep it close, Take the "Bengal"Tigers plus the points.

Roll Tide !

I think Ole miss got caught looking ahead a little bit last week but Bo Wallace will be Bo Wallace and throw a crucial pick late to lose by a field goal (assuming Bama's kicker can find the uprights this year).

I agree with LSU +10. When Auburn beats LSU, it's almost always a close game. I'm hoping Auburn squeaks by with a late touchdown. Offense has looked sluggish of late. Line needs to start winning the battle in the trenches. Really missing kozan right now.

You were dead on, counting penalty yards, with 8 for 52 yards. Nice call.

LSU may not win, but will keep it close, Take the "Bengal"Tigers plus the points.

However, 41-7? Close? Looks like AU, both offense and defense, were up to the task.

And the above is simply some good natured ribbing. I hope to see the same from gobama when Auburn loses this year.

WOW !!!

I guess I'm just getting too old...

There was a time in my life (35 years ago) when I made a VERY good income picking the correct side of the football games, but I also studied the games for many hours each week.
Nowdays, I'm lucky if I listen to and hour of sports-talk-radio each week.

Bama played very poorly, from the opening kick-off return.
they deserved to lose, the way they played.
Of course, it is a long season, and I've seen Bama win multiple National championships with a loss on their record.

Was kinda funny at church Sunday morning (my church is 5 miles North of the AL State line, in TN) because none of the old men were really talking much about football.
with TN and Bama both loosing.

__________________________
I did not know that Bama had lost until 45 minutes after the game was over:
My 9 year old son is playing pee-wee football, and instead of having their games on Sat mornings, his game started at 4:45 sat afternoon. I had a radio in the stands listing to the Bama game.
Well, the tiny little AM station (730AM out of Athens) that I have to listen to, cuts their power down at 6pm everyday, and I couldn't hear the last couple of minutes of the Bama game.

As for Aub, I still don't know if they are that good or if LSU is just weak this season.

ROLL TIDE !

Bama loses, it's because they played bad, never because the other team played good. Auburn wins, it's because the other team played bad, never because auburn played good. Typical ...

Auburn is a good football team this year!

Alabama is not as good as in the past!

Here is my opinion:
Alabama has not shown championship qualities this year. That many turnovers and penalties in 2 games (Florida and Ole Miss), is not a "typical" Saban team (nor a championship caliber team). Also, Bama does not have the depth on the O-Line like usual. (look what happened when the starting center went down) On defense, Bama does not have an "established leader" like years past. Getting 4-5 star recruits every year is a blessing and a curse. It's good because you have GREAT athletes, it's bad because you lose so many early to the draft. The Bama secondary is not clicking. The athletes are there, but everything is not "meshing" right now. Hey, you can't be the top dog every year!

My predictions:
Bama loses 2 more games this year (unless A LOT changes)
Winner of Auburn and MS State game wins the National Championship this year.

With all that, Roll Tide. I am a Bama fan, but I don't see everything through crimson glasses!

bama lost because they played bad AND because Ole Miss is a very good football team this year. Sometimes, good football teams cause other good football teams to play bad!

Auburn took LSU to the wood shed!

Again, Roll Tide!

Bama sucked, plain and simple. Ole Miss didn't. They weren't great, but they made less mistakes. Auburn put a good old fashion hurting on LSU, and good on them for it. I'm a Bama fan, but I know everyone loses a few. You have to take the losses with the wins. Bama isn't the team they were in years past. I still don't like Sims, but he has shown promise. Still making some rookie mistakes though. Passing without setting his feet. Lobbing a ball up for grabs, even if it is to Cooper. It only works so often...

Bama probably has one more loss at least. If they lose fairly early on, I'd like to see what our backup QB could do.

Very good thoughts.

AL has possibly the best group of talent that they have ever had on one team. MANY of them will be going to the pro's.
With all of that you just expect them to play better.

NOW, you ALL must remember that you are never as good as you look when you win... Nor are you ever as bad as you look win you lose.

Ole-miss looked a lot better than I believe they really are. Their coach had a wonderful game plan and the kids executed it VERY well.
Bama's game plan was a little "off" AND they executed many parts of it poorly.

Music-man, I believe that your prediction of 2 more reg season losses is way off, and I still see Bama with a VERY good shot at the National Championship.

and YES, I am a "little" biased.... ROLL TIDE !!

as far as AU vs MissSt for the National Championship...... well, whatever you are drinking, is illegal in most states....

GOD Bless you

OK, maybe I should have saved the topic line of this thread until this past weekend.

I didn't get to see much of the AU game, but They just got beat.
Bama didn't play very well either, but found a way to keep from loosing.

???? Egg Bowl for the National Championship ????

I never thought that I would live to see the day.

God Bless you

Auburn showed up scared. Bama played like crap... (Again)

I don't understand why bama is still one over us when they barely beat an UNRANKED team..
