The only way I do my duck is marinate, wrap in bacon, and grill. Until I looked at some of these other recipes I thought I was the greatest duck cooker ever, but wow there is some real talent here. I have myself a few wood ducks in the fridge and my wife wants me to put them on the smoker with a ham sometime before Monday, please help I have no idea :|

I did this recipe with wood duck using the maple syrup.
Life changing good.

I've smoked wood duck before and it's good. Just rub whatever seasoning you want on it and lay some bacon on top to keep it from drying out. You can cut up and onion and apple to put in the body cavity if you like. Oh yeah, I'm talking about smoking a whole duck that has been skinned.

I split the breast and flattened them out and soaked in a bowl with water and alot of toney's for about a day then pattes them dry and rubbed them down with a sweet and smokey rub with extra brown suger and stuck them under the ham in the smoker and had foil under them so it caught all the drippings from the ham plus i was basting the ham with pineapple juice. The came out pretty good but the legs and wings really werent worth eating

Good receipe, I like that. Never tried smoking one before but am keen to do it, since I now have a new smoker.

Thanks for the link you posted.
