Where are you hunting? The deer on our places don't start till early/mid January. Killed an 8pt last year the last weekend on January chasing a doe. Watched a spike chase 3 doe the day before, and he was chasing the same doe as the 8pt the moring I shot.

Missed a BIG 7 pt 4 yrs ago the 3rd sunday of January layed up with a doe in a hay field during mid morning.

We have hardly even seen any deer so far, but its just around the bend 8) 8) 8)

Saw a shooter with 2 small racked bucks still grouped together at our place last week. We're in south Alabama.

Watched a small buck chase and mount a young doe this evening. The doe ducked out from under him a few times, but eventually stood and let him do his deed.
Their gettn cranked up now, the big boys will loose their minds for the next few weeks.

Starting to get antsy now, saw 5 different bucks this evening, three were together, but the two others were each pushing does. Weekend after next will be full bore.
