it is like most wmas, most hunters don't hunt further than 100 yards from the truck, if your willing to walk, you can find good deer.

I have hunted with a little success on the smaller skyline track behind Fackler. As some one else stated: lots of hunters all within 100 yards of truck. If Willing to work at it you can kill deer.

I killed my first deer on Skyline in 1972 and hunted it for many years at that time. I basically quit deer hunting around 88/89 and haven't been out there in 20+ years. In "the old days", Bear Den Point, Letson Point and the area near the state line always produced deer. But that was too long ago to be relevant now. I don't even know if those areas are part of the WMA now. Like someone said, if you are willing to walk a little while to get away from "road hunters", you can kill a deer out there. It is really beautiful country.

Good luck

Carry a GPS and an extra battery and go get lost! Lots of woods and hills. Beautiful countryside.

i agree with a good gps, most hills look the same, yep bear den point is still on the wma, in a different zone now, they zoned the place. i hope to go back this fall, i haven't been there since 2011, got some new rocky boot that need broke in. so i hope to burn some boot rubber there this fall.
