With bow season opening up here in the next few days wondering what kind of tips you guys like to use or don't like to use and why. I personally have always used broadheads but thinking about venturing out to a expandable such as a rage. What you guys think?

This could potentially open a huge can of worms... But Rage suck, very bad. Sure they leave gaping wounds but aren't reliable and are only good for one shot. Schwacker, GrizzTrick, Ramcat, Montec, or Muzzy is the way to go.

Rage are terrible. They will blow a hole in something but the broad head after words are all tore up. I usually buy the cheapest broad head but find the best.

As for expandable, grim reaper broad heads are awesome!

Grim Reaper. Leaves a great blood trail and flies just like a field tip.

Rage's are pretty deadly-
And accurate- consistent
I shoot 125 grain Simmons shark 2 blade-
Those things are bad news. I have had the same 6 sharks for close to 6 years
And shot a lot of deer with them - :soldier

Rage's are good. You have to keep them clean and keep replacing the o-rings. I currently shoot Swhackers and love them. Unbelievable blood trails and exit wounds.

I can say this about the Rage... I have shot 10 deer with a rage and they all went down within 50 yards of my treestand. I did lose one deer shooting a rage but that was all my fault for shooting it in the leg. I like expandables because they fly so true. But I know everyone has opinions.

Mark's in Bham, or order at their website. They'll drop them off at your door.

And that's why you have your opinion and I have mine.

Rage are very deadly but I've always noticed that they tear up to easily unlike swackers and grim reapers

Btw do you know if they still sell the simons sharks?? Where'd you get yours?

3.5" OOO buck shot out of a patternmaster extended range!
Trust me, it's bad!!! :cool
Or the ole 30 naught naught 6!

:many

Jk guys! I have never bow hunted! I don't even like deer hunting, period! I don't even own a deer rifle! I spend all of October/November getting ready for the real hunting season!
That being stated, I have the utmost respect for you guys that can consistently kill deer with a bow! Y'all have amazing patience!!! As long as someone continues to kill me a couple does every year for the freezer, I'll never own a deer rifle!

Sorry to hijack! Carry on!!

The original simmons landsharks were some bad mamajamas.. I killed my first deer with one of the 125 glue in bleeder blade ones and they were the toughest head you could get. I was told they were bought out and the newer ones werent the same as the old ones but i would def. recommend them if they are
