Guys I wanted to post this just to let the members know that I'm trying to put together a hunting club. I'm in one now but we're going to let the lease go because they have come in right here in the middle of turkey season and started clear cutting the hardwoods off our lease. So we won't have much hunting after that happens so we're all giving it up.

What I'm trying to do is locate some land close to where we're at that's convenient to the current members and anyone else we add, because it looks like we're going to be able to get some larger tracts (from what I've found so far). I've found a little over 3000 acres so far in Cherokee County. We're of course getting it for a deer/turkey lease but if there happens to be swamps or anything of that nature that hold ducks there will be duck hunting too. Basically, if we're going to call it a hunting club, we'll allow all types of hunting, but Deer and Turkey will be the first priority.

So the purpose of this post is this: if you're interested in a club or looking for a new one, we have one in the works. We're going to shoot for it to be priced reasonably as well. I've looked at some of this land also and it looks promising, rough, but promising. Going by what we have to work with right now, we will need some folks with the drive to put forth the effort to have some good returns down the road. If you have any questions, or you're interested let me know via PM and we'll talk further. I can answer only some questions so far as we have nothing finalized yet. And we may hold out till June-July when the majority of the timber company leases come available. Will know more as each day passes. But anyway, any interest is appreciated. Thanks!

The best turkey clubs are ones with deer hunters only. Lol Think of yourself before you recruit members.
