Hey guys me and my buddy are repainting his tracker. Just seeing what everyone recommends for primer and paint. We've sanded the boat with 300 grit and there are some spots that are down to bare aluminum.

Make sure you use a self etching primer

Thanks. Anybody know of any particular paint that holds up better than others?

Chem 400 in cobblestone is a great base.....I used it as my base on my personal SDB and worked great under the nat gear stencil....very tough, hard paint. I have a 18 ft boat and 2 gallons gave me 2 good spray coats inside and out. Last time I ordered it you had to get the decent colors direct from gatortrax. Sherman Williams would not sell it to the public as of 2 years ago

Forgot I posted this.

We both got busy with work/family and didn't touch the boat for awhile. Got after it last weekend though. Just about ready to buy paint/primer. I'll try to remember to post the end result lol
